v97 v98 3 3 VeSPA is a free software suite composed of three magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) applications called Simulation, RFPulse and Analysis. These powerful tools are for magnetic resonance (MR) spectral simulation, MR RF pulse design, and spectral processing and analysis of MR data. 4 4 5 The VeSPA suite enhances and extends three previously developed MRS software tools (GAVA/GAMMA, Matpulse, IDL Vespa) by migrating them into anintegrated, open source, and open development platform.5 The VeSPA suite is a significant rewrite of three existing MRS software tools (GAVA/GAMMA, IDL-Vespa, and Matpulse). VeSPA enhances and extends their capabilities and provides a free, integrated, open source, and open development platform. 6 6 7 7 VeSPA's applications run separately yet communicate among themselves via a shared database of objects and results. One example of inter-application sharing will be that Simulation can make use of an RF pulse designed in the RFPulse application to create a more realistic MR simulation.
